| Joyner's
History
FOR OVER 50 YEARS, Joyner's
has been a leader in the modern day alchemy of the Die Cast and Electroplating
art . . . art that brings back the gleam - as well as the dreams - of a single
piece or your entire silver service.
Joyner's
durable plate will restore your family keepsakes to their original beauty and
splendor.

The tray your mother
received as a young bride! . . . the tea service your great grandmother brought
with her from Europe . . . the silverware you purchased many years ago. . . all
can have their elegance renewed and their usefulness restored.
Your modest investment
today will be repaid many times over with the joy and pride of memories relived
and passed on to future generations. The cost of replating any piece of silver
is very small when you realize the sentiment involved is priceless.

THE REPLATING of a worn silver-plate enhances
the historical significance and the original beauty, using virtually the same
process as was used when the article was first manufactured.
Electroplating of silver was begun by American
silversmiths in the 1840's after the process had been developed in England. "Old
Sheffield Plate" is not to be confused with the electroplating process. Sheffield
was produced for about 100 years, beginning in the 1700's in England, by using
"a sandwich" of silver and copper together. Items marked "Sheffield Plate" are
not original Sheffield.
Albert A. Joyner began his career in metal
finishing in 1918. In 1944, he and Victoria, his wife, established their own company
specializing in the refinishing of antiques. Their careful attention to detail
and fine craftsmanship established a tradition of careful workmanship that is
carried on today by the second and third generations of Joyners.
